The following provisions1 apply where there is an assessment period2 in relation to an eligible scheme3. The Board of the Pension Protection Fund4 may review a reviewable ill health pension5 in respect of a member6 if: (1) the member would be entitled to compensation7 in respect of the pension if the Board assumed responsibility for the scheme8; (2) the member did not attain normal pension age in respect of the pension before the assessment date; and (3) the pension is attributable to the member's pensionable service9.
