348. Power to make regulations under the Superannuation Act 1972: in general.

The Superannuation Act 1972 confers power on the relevant Secretaries of State1 to make provision by regulations for superannuation schemes applying to civil servants and persons treated for those purposes as employed in the Civil Service2, persons employed in local government service3, teachers4, and persons engaged in health services5, although the power to continue providing benefits under such schemes is now very limited6.
