Where any provision mentioned below conflicts with the provisions of an occupational pension scheme1:
(1) the provision mentioned below, to the extent that it conflicts, overrides the provisions of the scheme2; and
(2) the scheme has effect with such modifications3 as may be required in consequence of head (1)4.
The provisions so referred to are those of Part I of the Pensions Act 19955, and any subordinate legislation6 made or having effect as if made under that Part7
