The following provisions1 apply where the pensionable service2 of a member3 of an occupational pension scheme4 has terminated5. The trustees or managers of the scheme must: (1) within a reasonable period after the termination give the member a statement in writing containing information adequate to explain: (a) the nature of the right acquired by him6; and (b) how he may exercise the right, and such other information as may be prescribed; and (2) afford the member a reasonable period after
