Subject to the following exceptions, where a person is entitled to a pension under an occupational pension scheme1 or has a right to a future pension2 under such a scheme:
(1) the entitlement or right cannot be assigned, commuted or surrendered3;
(2) the entitlement or right cannot be charged or a lien exercised in respect of it4; and
(3) no set-off can be exercised in respect of it5,
and an agreement to effect any of those things is unenforceable6.
