The following provisions1 apply where the Board of the Pension Protection Fund2 assumes responsibility3 for a scheme4. The Board must pay any amount by way of pensions or other benefits which a person had become entitled to payment of under the scheme rules before the assessment date5 but which remained unpaid at the time the transfer notice6 was received by the trustees or managers7 of the scheme8.
Regulations9 may provide that, in prescribed10 circumstances, where: (1) a member11 of the scheme died before the commencement of the assessment period12; and (2) during the period beginning with the assessment date and
