The date from which the perpetuity period is reckoned is the date from which the limitation operates, as made by a person limiting as owner or having a power of disposition equivalent to that of ownership1.
Thus, for a limitation in a will, the period runs from the testator's death and in a deed or non-testamentary instrument from the date of the instrument
