536. Use of ships, aircraft, hovercraft and vehicles.

An act which would otherwise infringe a patent1 does not do so if it consists of:


    (1)     the use, exclusively for the needs of a ship registered in or belonging to a Convention country2 (a relevant ship), of a product or process in the body of such a ship3 or in its machinery, tackle, apparatus or other accessories, where the ship has temporarily or accidentally entered the internal or territorial waters of the United Kingdom4;
