564.     Stay of injunction.

The operation of an injunction may be stayed pending an appeal1. This is a matter entirely within the court's discretion but the court should seek so to arrange matters that, when the appeal comes on to be heard, the appellate court may be able to do justice between the parties, whatever the outcome of the appeal may be2. Where the injunction is stayed, the defendant may be required to keep an account3, or give security for damages4, or to pay damages into a secured account5,
