Every application for a patent1 which is to be proceeded with2 must be made in the prescribed form and filed at the UK Intellectual Property Office3 in the prescribed manner4, and must be accompanied by the prescribed fee5.
The application must contain:
(1) a request for the grant of a patent6;
(2) a specification7; and
(3) an abstract8.
