For the purpose of hearing appeals from the comptroller1, the Patents Court2 consists of one or more judges of that court in accordance with directions given by the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales after consulting the Lord Chancellor3.
The provisions of the Civil Procedure Rules relating to appeals4 apply to appeals from the comptroller5. Where those provisions require a document to be served, it must also be served on the comptroller6.
