Where a design1 has been registered under the Registered Designs Act 1949, every document kept at the UK Intellectual Property Office2 in connection with that design is open to inspection at the UK Intellectual Property Office on and after the date on which the certificate of registration is granted3. However, no document may be inspected before the end of the period of 14 days beginning immediately after the day it was filed at the UK Intellectual Property Office or received by the registrar or the UK Intellectual Property Office4.
