550. Defence and admissions.

The defendant may by his defence1:

  1.  

    (1)     deny the claimant's title to the patent2;

  2.  

    (2)     deny that he has infringed as alleged or at all3;

  3.  

    (3)     plead leave and licence4;

  4.  

    (4)     raise one or more objections to the validity of the patent5;

  5.  

    (5)     allege that at the date of the infringement he was not aware, and had no reasonable grounds for supposing, that the patent existed6;

  6.  

    (6)     deny, where the specification has been amended, that the original specification was drawn in good faith and with reasonable skill and knowledge
