If in, or in connection with, an application for a patent1 (the application in suit), a declaration of priority is made2, whether by the applicant or any predecessor in title of his, specifying one or more relevant applications3 made by the applicant or any predecessor in title of his and each having a date of filing4 during the period allowed5, then:
