The name of a limited liability partnership ('LLP')1 must end with the expression 'limited liability partnership', or the abbreviation 'llp' or 'LLP' (or the Welsh equivalents)2. It is an offence for a person to carry on a business under a name or title which includes as the last words these expressions or any contraction or imitation of them, unless that person is a limited liability partnership or oversea limited liability partnership3.
