Subject to any agreement between the partners1, a partnership entered into for an undefined time and for no fixed adventure or undertaking may be dissolved by any partner by giving notice to the others of his intention to dissolve the partnership2. The Partnership Act 1890 does not require the notice to be in writing3. The partnership is then dissolved as from the date mentioned in the notice as the date of dissolution4 or, if no date is so mentioned, as from the date of the communication of the notice5.
