On application by a partner, the court may decree a dissolution when the business of the partnership can only be carried on at a loss1. Every partnership is entered into with a view to profit2, and, if the business can only be carried on at a loss, the whole purpose of the partnership fails, and it may be dissolved even though the original term for which it was formed has not expired
