The Compliance Officer appointed by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority ('IPSA') has the functions of investigating and enforcing the financial conduct of members of the House of Commons1.
The IPSA and the Compliance Officer must prepare a joint statement setting out how they will work with the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, and any other person the IPSA and the Compliance Officer consider appropriate2
