Where it is claimed that a person purporting to be a member of the House of Commons is or has been disqualified at any time since his election by reason of office or service under the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975, 1application may be made to Her Majesty in Council for a declaration to that effect2, the application being referred to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council3.
