Recall petitions are conducted in accordance with the statutory procedures prescribed by the Recall of MPs Act 20151. Public notice of the petition must be given in advance2 and the petition may be signed in person, by post or by proxy according to regulated procedures3. A recall petition is successful if the number of persons who validly sign the petition is at least ten per cent of the number of eligible registered electors
