660.     Chairman and Principal Deputy Chairman of Committees.

At the beginning of every session, or whenever a vacancy occurs in the offices, lords are appointed to fill the salaried offices of Chairman and Principal Deputy Chairman of Committees throughout the session1. The Chairman of Committees is chairman ex officio of all committees of the House of Lords of which he is a member unless the House otherwise directs2.
