An individual against whom a sequestration of estate order is made in Scotland, is disqualified from being elected a member of the House of Commons, or from sitting or voting in the House of Commons or any of its committees, until annulment or discharge1.
A court which makes the order must notify the Speaker2, and also, immediately after it becomes apparent which of the following certificates is applicable, must further certify to the Speaker either that the period of six months beginning with the day of the award has expired without the award having been recalled or reduced, or that
