A person in respect of whom a bankruptcy restrictions order1 or a debt relief restrictions order2 has effect is disqualified from membership of the House of Commons, and from sitting on a joint committee of both Houses3. If a member of the House of Commons becomes so disqualified, his seat is vacated4. If a person who is so disqualified is returned as a member of the House of Commons, his return is void5.
