670.     Adjournment of the House.

When the business upon the order paper has been disposed of or at any hour which may be determined upon in view of the business before the House of Lords1, it is usual for a member of the government to move the adjournment2. After this motion has been put from the Woolsack3, the Lord Speaker4, preceded by the mace, leaves the House by the bar, and the sitting is at an end5.
