At any time after notice has been given confirming a notification of an area as a site of special scientific interest1, Natural England, in relation to England, or the Natural Resources Body for Wales, in relation to Wales2, may by notice vary the matters specified or stated in the confirmed notification, whether by adding to them, changing them, or removing matter from them3. The area of land4 cannot be so varied5.
