The Natural Resources Body for Wales1 must pursue sustainable management of natural resources2 in relation to Wales and apply the principles of sustainable management of natural resources3, in the exercise of its functions, so far as consistent with their proper exercise4.
The Natural Resources Body for Wales must exercise its functions so as to:
(1) further nature conservation and the conservation and enhancement of natural beauty and amenity5;
(2) promote the provision and improvement of opportunities for:
(a) access to, and enjoyment of, the countryside and open spaces;
