527. Monitoring of incidental capture and killing.

The appropriate authority1, must make arrangements to establish a system to monitor the incidental capture of animals of the listed species2, and the incidental killing of such animals, which takes place in England or Wales3.

The Secretary of State must from time to time:

  1.  

    (1)     consult the Welsh Ministers about the arrangements he has made4;

  2.  

    (2)     provide the Welsh Ministers with such information as he considers appropriate derived from the monitoring arranged by him5; and

  3.  

    (3)     review the arrangements he has made and, if he thinks it appropriate, revise those arrangements6.

The Welsh Ministers must from time to time:
