Natural England, in relation to England, or the Natural Resources Body for Wales, in relation to Wales1, may formulate a management scheme for all or part of a site of special scientific interest2. A management scheme is a scheme for:
(1) conserving the flora, fauna, or geological or physiographical features by reason of which the land3 (or the part of it to which the scheme relates) is of special interest4; or
(2) restoring them5; or
Natural England or the Natural Resources Body for Wales must serve notice7 of a proposed management scheme on every owner and occupier8 of
