173. Kinds of, and jurisdiction in, civil proceedings.

Civil proceedings for a nuisance may take the form of:

  1.  

    (1)     an action for private nuisance1;

  2.  

    (2)     an action for public nuisance by the Attorney General either alone or on the relation of a local authority or private individual2;

  3.  

    (3)     an action for public nuisance by a local authority on behalf of the inhabitants of its area3; or

  4.  

    (4)     an action for public nuisance by a private individual or local authority4.
