1109. The Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.

The Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict1 is the principal international instrument devoted specifically to the protection of cultural property in armed conflict. For the purposes of the Convention, 'cultural property' means, irrespective of origin or ownership:
