The Welsh Ministers1 must compile and maintain a register ('the register of historic parks and gardens') of such of the following grounds in Wales as appear to them to be of special historic interest2:
(3) designed ornamental landscapes;
(4) places of recreation;
(5) other designed grounds.
The Welsh Ministers must decide whether, or to what extent, it would be appropriate to include as part of the registration of grounds of such a description3:
(a) any building or water on, or adjacent or contiguous to, those grounds; or
(b) any land adjacent or contiguous to those grounds.
