The Protection of Military Remains Act 1986 secures the protection from unauthorised interference of the remains of military aircraft and vessels that have crashed, sunk or been stranded and of associated human remains1. Provision is made as to offences relating to such interference2 and for the grant of licences to carry out certain works or operations3. These provisions are covered in detail elsewhere in this work4.
