The Secretary of State1 must pay into the National Heritage Memorial Fund2 in the first month of each financial year3 a sum determined by him before the beginning of the year; and he may at any time pay into the fund such further sums as he may from time to time determine4. There must also be paid into the fund any other sums received by the trustees in consequence of the discharge of their functions5 or which they receive under the National Lottery6.
