The Board of Governors of the Museum of London1 may2 acquire any objects which in its opinion it is desirable to add to its collections3. The board may4 sell, exchange, give away or otherwise dispose of any object vested in it and comprised in its collections if the object is a duplicate of another such object or is for any other reason not, in its opinion, required for retention in those collections5.
