Three-fifths or any larger number of members may determine that an institution to which the Literary and Scientific Institutions Act 1854 applies1 is to be dissolved, either immediately or at the time then agreed upon2. In this event all necessary steps must be taken for the disposal and settlement of the institution's property, its claims and liabilities, according to the rules of the institution, or, if the rules are inapplicable, at the discretion of the governing body3.
