557. Power to suspend or adjourn possession order in the case of a dwelling house.

Where a mortgagee under a mortgage1 of land which consists of or includes a dwelling house2 brings proceedings in which he claims possession of the mortgaged property, not being a claim for foreclosure3 in which a claim for possession of the mortgaged property is also made, the court may adjourn the proceedings4 or, on giving judgment or making an order for delivery of possession of the mortgaged property or at any time before the execution of the judgment or order, may stay or suspend execution of the judgment or order, or postpone the date for delivery of possession5, for
