612. Foreclosure in respect of registered land.

612.     Foreclosure in respect of registered land.

Where a mortgagee has foreclosed in respect of registered land and become registered as proprietor of the mortgagor's estate1, a mortgagor who wishes to redeem must apply for alteration of the register2. Alteration cannot be ordered against a proprietor in possession without his consent unless he has by fraud or lack of proper care caused or substantially contributed to the mistake, or it would for any other reason be unjust for the alteration not to be made3.
