Ordinarily where there are two mortgages of the same property the mortgagees can vary the order of priority of their mortgages without the mortgagor's consent. Since the mortgagor can recover the mortgaged property only on payment of the debts secured by both mortgages, his right to recover the mortgaged property is not adversely affected by a variation in priorities.
