803. Statutory requirement as to representations concerning credit.

No claim may be brought by which to charge any person upon or by reason of a representation made concerning or relating to the character, conduct, credit, ability, trade or dealings of any other person, in order that such other person may obtain credit, money, or goods, unless the representation is made in writing, signed1 by the party to be charged with it2. This applies only to claims for fraudulent misrepresentation
