496. Terminal compensation.

For the purpose of assessing terminal compensation two values must be computed. These are: (1) the value1, at the end of the period of occupation, of the owner's interest in the relevant land, assessed on the assumption that, in so far as any of the owner's land comprised in the compulsory rights order2 has not then been restored to the condition3 in which it was immediately before the date of entry4, all restorative work5 will be carried out on that land in due course6; and (2) the value which, at the end of the period of occupation, the owner's
