396. Rights for coal in relation to underground land.

Under the Coal Industry Act 19941 a licensed operator2, or any person authorised3 to act on his behalf in the carrying on of any of the operations which the operator is authorised to carry on, is entitled at any time on or after the restructuring date to exercise certain rights in relation to any underground land in the area in which the operator in question is authorised to carry on coal-mining operations5.

The Coal Authority6 and persons authorised by the Authority to exercise its rights under these provisions are also entitled at any time on or after the restructuring date
