In conformity with the principles as to waste1 a tenant for life is entitled to receive the profits from mines2 worked under a demise made3 or contracted to be made4 by the settlor, or made in exercise of powers given by the settlor5 (or by the Settled Land Act 1925, 6subject to the statutory limitations), or derived from workings of open mines by the trustees of the settlement7.
