The Secretary of State1 may give directions to the Coal Authority2 requiring it, on or before a specified date or at specified intervals, to make a report to him on the operation of the Coal Mining Subsidence Act 1991 during any specified period or periods3. The Secretary of State's directions may specify the matters to be dealt with, and any particular information to be given, in the report and the form in which the report is to be made
