87. Participation of employee organisations in trusts and social welfare bodies.

Where it appears to the Charity Commission1 on an application by an employee organisation2 that the members of the employee organisation or the members and their dependants constitute a substantial proportion of those who may benefit under a trust3, and that neither the organisation nor its members are entitled to appoint any of the trustees of the trust4, the Charity Commission may by order make a scheme amending the trust for the purpose of securing fair representation amongst the trustees of those persons employed in the coal industry who may benefit under the trust5.
