It is an offence for any person1 for specified purposes2 in relation to the Coal Mining Subsidence Act 1991:
(1) to furnish any other person with any information which he knows to be false in a material particular3;
(2) recklessly to furnish any other person with any information which is false in a material particular4; or
(3) to withhold any information from any person with intent to deceive5.
A licensed operator6 is guilty of an offence if he:
(a) furnishes the Coal Authority7 with any information which he knows to be false in a material particular
