A grant of the right of support will be presumed unless there is some provision inconsistent with the ordinary presumption as between grantor and grantee1. In addition there may be an express statutory liability imposed on the owner of the mine2 not to injure the undertakers' works3; or he may be prohibited from working without the undertakers' consent and without giving security for damage done to their works4. In these cases the mine owner has an inherent right to immediate compensation for his obligation to leave support
