612. Grant of a gale.

The grant of a gale1 is made subject to any special rules and regulations thought necessary by the gaveller2, and provides for the working of a minimum quantity of mineral in each year3, with liberty to make up short workings in any subsequent year4. An underlying seam may be galed even if an upper seam has been previously galed and the upper seam may be sunk through by the galee of the lower seam5.
