The appropriate national authority1 may by regulations2 make provision for modifying or adapting any of the provisions of the Opencast Coal Act 1958 relating to compensation in respect of compulsory rights orders3 in their application to land4 which (1) constitutes or forms part of the land comprised in such an order, or, in relation to such an order, forms part of a holding qualifying for compensation5, or is other land in the same ownership qualifying6
