237. Compensation for consequential losses to small firms.

Where at any time any property, which is used wholly or partly for the purposes of a small firm1, and as respects which one or more notices of the possibility of subsidence damage2 have been or should have been given to the owner3 or occupier4, is affected by subsidence damage, special provisions apply for the period beginning with that time and ending with the discharge by the responsible person of his remedial obligation5 with respect to the damage6.

For each year7 or part of a year which falls within that period, and in which any consequential loss8 resulting from the
