100. Coal Authority's power to require information for the purposes of enforcement.

Where it appears to the Coal Authority1 that there is, or may have been, a contravention2 of the statutory requirement to carry out coal-mining operations3 in accordance with a licence4, or that any person is contravening, or may have contravened, any condition of a licence, the Authority may, for any purpose connected with its relevant enforcement functions5, serve a notice6 on any person7.
